Final round of two under par sees Padraig finish in a tie for 9th place at the Sanford International. He got off to a slow start with six opening pars before dropping two shots to be out in two over par and outside the top twenty. But he rallied well on the back side with three birdies and an eagle three on the par five 12th hole. His only dropped shot came on the par four 13th hole where he found a bunker and failed to get up and down. He edges closer to Steve Alker in the race for the Charles Schwab Cup and is now less than 100k behind with six events to go. Steve Stricker won the event after a playoff!

Padraig shoots a three under par round of 67 to trail the leaders by three shots going into Sundays final round. He got off to a poor start with a dropped shot at the first, taking three to get down from just off the green. He made a regulation birdie four at the par five 4th hole before adding another one at the 9th to be out in one under par. He was steady on the back side recording seven pars and two birdies and lies in tied 9th place. He will need a low final round with such a bunched leaderboard but is more than capable!

Padraig opens his account at the Sanford International with a four under par round of 66 which leaves him in a tie for 13th place going into the weekend. He got off to a quick start with a couple of early birdies but dropped a shot at the 9th hole to be out in one under par. He hit back with consecutive birdies on the par four 11th hole and par five 12th hole and finally added one more at the par four 15th hole. A good days work but will need a couple of low rounds over the weekend to contend!

Padraig plays this week at the Sanford International on the PGA Seniors Tour as he chases the top spot in the season long Charles Schwab Cup. There are just seven events left and Padraig reckons he needs to win two more to secure the title. Minnehaha Country Club is a par 70 with five par 3’s and three par 5’s. The course plays to just over 6,700 yards and is tree lined with water on ten of the holes and is a classic parkland course, with large rolling greens and a lot of elevation changes. Darren Clarke is your defending champion.
