It’s a weekend off for Padraig, who must be shattered after four weeks on the road, as he adds a level par round to his opening effort. Two birdies were offset by two bogies on a course that played fast and firm. He now will have a few days extra to prepare for the Open Championship which returns to Royal Birkdale, a course Padraig is unlikely to ever forget!
Padraig opens his account at the Genesis Scottish Open with a four over par round of 74. It was the most unusal round as he failed to make a birdie which is a rare occurance indeed. Four bogies, two on either side, made up his card and he will need to dip under par Friday to make the cut for the weekend.
It’s another time zone this week for Padraig as he plays on the DP World Tout at the Genesis Scottish Open. It is the perfect prelude to the Open Championship next week which returns to Royal Birkdale, where Padraig was victorious in 2008. This week is also a Rolex event which makes it a who’s who of golf as all the top names compete.
