Disappointing second round of 77 sees Padraig miss the cut at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic. He managed to pick up one birdie on the par five 13th hole but the rest of the day was a struggle. He had two bogies going out on the back nine, but the tougher front nine played havoc with his game, including a double bogie on the par four 6th hole, where incurred a penalty off the tee. A tough day at the office.
Padraig opens his account in Dubai with a level par round of 72 but will be slightly disappointed as he was two under par with five holes to play. He was out in one under par after playing steady golf with no dropped shots and picked up another shot at the par five 10th hole. The dropped shots came on the 14th and 16th holes but he is well in contention at level par!
Padraig continues his stay in the Dubai desert with the opening round of the prestigious Rolex Series, the Hero Dubai Desert Classic. It is, as usual, being played at the iconic Emirates Golf Club. The field this week is a who’s who of golf, with Rory McIlroy the overwhelmimg favourite. He has won the title in 2023 and 2024, with Tyrell Hatton your defending champion this week!
