Final round of 74 sees Padraig finish on a disappointing note at the Rogers Charity Classic but it’s been a busy season so far with his focus now on the Charles Schwab playoffs. He had five bogies in his first eleven holes before a solitary bright spot at the par five 13th hole. Time to reset for the end of season, he currently lies 4th in the Charles Schwab Cup standings. Padraig shoots a second round of level par 70 to hover around the top 50 as a day of mistakes costs him dearly. Starting on the back nine, he got off to a slow start with two dropped shots in his first seven holes, but birdied the par five 9th hole to be out in one over par. Again, too many mistakes on the way home hampered a good score, even though he made three birdies in all. He will be mainly playing for pride on Sunday as he trails the leaders by a wide margin.
Padraig opens up with a one under par round of 69 at this weeks Rogers Charity Classic on the PGA Seniors Tour. He was out in two under par after a four hole run of three birdies and one droppped shot and picked up another birdie at the par five 11th hole, where he got up and down from a greenside bunker. But a poor finish saw him drop two shots coming home to arrest any forward momentum going into the weekend.
Padraig plays this week on the PGA Champions Tour at the Rodgers Charity Classic. It is being played at Canyon Meadows G&CC in Calgary, a par 72 playing to nearly 7,100 yards. Padraig finished 7th last year and tied 3rd in 2022.
