Padraig failed to make the cut at the Genesis Scottish Open as he shoots a second round of one over par 71. The cut was a very low looking three under par! He swapped a birdie with a bogey on the front nine to be out in level par but a double bogey seven on the par five 10th hole put paid to any chance of making the weekend. He did birdie the par four 13th hole but a string of pars to finish leaves him with an early trip to Royal Troon for the Open Championship next week.

Padraig opens his account at the Genesis Scottish Open with a level par round of 70. He never really got going in the round even though he was two under after four holes having started off the tenth tee. Two dropped shots and another birdie on the par five 16th hole, had him out in one under par and he threaded water from there in to play the front nine in one over par. He will need a sub par round on Friday to progress as the cut line looks to be under par. Eight under par led after the opening round. Padraig tees off late Friday at 1.10pm local time.

Padraig plays this week at the Genesis Scottish Open being played at the Renaissance Club in North Berwick, Scotland. Its a par 70 course playing to a yardage of 7,237 yards from the tips.
