Padraig completes the three peat at the Dick’s Open with a very impressive display in the final round. He is only the second player in Champions Tour history to do so since Bernhard Langer in 2016. Any early nerves were soon dispelled with an eagle three on the par five third hole and even though he three putted the next, he birdied three of the last four holes to be out in 33 shots and in command of the tournament. From there, he just played solid on the way in, and with a one shot lead playing the last, boomed his drive 317 yards to leave an easy second shot to seal the deal.  Next up is the US Senior Open Championship, and as a former winner in 2022, Padraig will be gunning for more glory!

Padraig moves into prime position for the three peat with a flawless round of seven under par 65. He is tied with two other players going into the final round on an eleven under par total. He got off to a fast start with a couple of birdies in his first three holes but stalled then to get to the turn in two under par. He again started the back nine brightly and picked up two more shots but a grandstand finish of three birdies put the icing on the cake. He will tee off last Sunday at 3.36pm with Ken Tanigawa and Stephen Ames.

Padraig opens his account at the Dicks Open with four under par round of 68. Eight under par leads after day one. He made plenty of birdies on the day, with seven in all but the short holes cost him dearly with two dropped shots. He also failed to take full advantage of the par fives which he played in two under so will be hoping for a more productive day on Saturday!

Padraig plays this week on the Senior PGA Tour at the Dick’s Open, It is being played in Endicott, New York and Padraig is defending the title he has won for the past two years! Tee times will be released Thirsday and play starts on Friday!
