Padraig finally finds his true form and records the low score of the day with a six under par round of 65, which incredibly contained three dropped shots! Starting on the back nine, he got off to a flyer with a couple of early birdies before he made his first of two eagles on the day at the par five 16th hole. Standing at four under par he then dropped three shots around the turn to drop back to one under par. But five threes in his last seven holes, including another eagle at the par five 12th hole saw him sign for six under par. He jumped up nearly thirty places to tied 14th place at eight under par with Joe Durant winning with a thirteen under par total!

Padraig adds a second round of 71 to leave himself in a tie for 42nd place and nine behind the leader heading into Sundays final round. He got off to a dreadful start with three dropped shots in his first five holes before rallying with two closing birdies to be out in 37 shots. He picked up two more shots at the par five 11th and par three 12th but dropped a shot at the par three 14th where he missed the green and failed to get up and down from a heavy lie. He birdied the par five 16th and parred in but all in all a disappointing day! He tees off Sunday in the final round at 5.10pm with Scott Verplank and Colin Montgomerie.

Padraig has an opening round of one under par 71 at the Cologuard Classic but it was a poor day around the greens that cost him. He got off to a nice start with an opening birdie but gave that shot back on the par four 6th hole to be out in level par. Another dropped shot followed on the par four 10th where he missed the fairway off the tee but he finished strongly with two birdies in the last three holes to sign for a 71. Nine under par leads and Padraig is in tied 30th place going into Saturdays second round. He tees off at 5.05pm with Stephen Ames and Ricardo Gonzalez.

Padraig plays this week on the Seniors PGA Tour at the Cologuard Classic at La Paloma Country Club in Arizona! It is a par 71 course that plays to 6,856 yards and with four par fives will be right in Padraigs wheelhouse! The event starts Friday.

Tee times: Opening round Friday at 6.27pm with Stephen Ames and Colin Montgomerie.
