Padraig signs off in Mexico with a final round of one under par 70. It leaves him just outside the top fifty. Plenty of birdies yet again but the story of the day was two sixes on the two par fives coming home which would normally be birdie chances for Padraig. He plays again next week on the PGA Tour as a past winner of the Honda Classic!

Padraig has a mixed day on the course during the third round of the Mexico Open as he swaps three birdies with four bogies on a day where he found trouble in a couple of bunkers. He also incurred a penalty shot on the par four 10th hole. All tbree birdies were short putts so he will hope to cut out the mistakes in the final round! He tees off at 1.47pm with James Hahn. Nineteen under par leads by four going into the final round.

Padraig shoots a very impressive round of 66 to easily make the cut at the Mexico Open. He recorded seven birdies in all with only one blemish at the par four 5th hole where he missed a five foot putt. But all in all a stellar performance and only seven behind the leaders going into the weekend!

Padraig opens his account in Mexico with a one over par round of 72. He traded a couple of birdies with a lone bogey on the par three 17th to be out in one under par. He did get to two under with a nice putt from fourteen feet on the par three 5th hole but a poor finish saw him drop three shots in his last two holes. He currently sits close to the cut line and will need to play well Friday to advance. Eight under leads at the moment.

Padraig plays this week and next on the PGA Tour. This week it is the turn of the Mexico Open at Vidanta, a par 71 that plays to nearly 7,500 yards.

Tee times: Opening round Thursday at 2.25pm and Friday at 7.10pm  with Francesco Molinari and Peter Mainati
