Final round of three over par 75 was a day to forget for Padraig as he recorded just nine pars amoung a host of dropped shots. He did manage three birdies on the day but too many mistakes made it a frustrating day.

Disappointing third round of one over par 73. Two lone birdies on the day meant it was a tough afternoon as he struggled to get any momentum going. Two dropped shots to start the back nine were compounded by a terrible finish, when he reached the par five 18th hole but took four to get down from a greenside bunker.

Padraig fires a fantastic second round of five under par 67 to easily make the cut at the Ras Al Khaimah Championship. In a blemish free card he recorded five birdies in all, with some solid play all round. He was one under par after eight holes but then had a nice run around the turn where he picked up four shots in six holes. It gives him a nice platform to kick on at the weekend!

Padraig opens his account in the UAE with a one under par round of 71. He picked up a shot at his first par 5, the third hole, and covered the four long holes in three under par. But a double bogey six on the par four 9th proved disasterous, as he found the desert off the tee and took four shots to reach the green. Three birdies in his last six holes gives him a chance to progress tomorrow with a solid round. He tees off early at 7.50am local time!

Padraig plays this week at the Ras Al Khaimah Championship in the UAE. The course features a lot of water so it does give up birdies but can play tough if the wind blows. Padraig played last year and finished in the top 25.  Daniel Gavins is your defending champion!

Tee times: Thursday at 12.15pm and Friday at 7.50am with Jordan Smith and Zander Lombard.
