Padraig shoots a final round of 68 to finish just three behind but was in with a chance with a couple of holes to go. He got off to a slow start and was one over par after five holes but hit a magnificent iron for his second shot on the par five 6th hole to set up an eagle. He rounded out the nine with another birdie on the par five 9th hole to be out in two under par. He fell back again on the par four 12th hole with a dropped shot but finished strongly with three birdies in the next four holes to be only a couple of shots out of the lead with two to play. He could only manage two pars to finish but all in all a good week as he finished tied 7th. On to the next play off event, the TimberTech Championship on November 3rd!

Padraig signs for a second round of three under par 69 to leave himself at four under par for the tournament and in a tie for 8th place. Nine under par leads going into Sundays final round. He had four birdies in all, with his only mistake coming at the par five 6th hole, where he got out of position. He will go into Sundays round knowing that he needs a very low round to contend, but it wouldnt be the first time! All to play for!

Padraig shots an opening round of one under par at Dominion Energy Charity Classic. He got off to a nice start with a couple of early birdies but had a poor run around the turn with two dropped shots. He did finish in style with a tramline putt at the last for a birdie four to bring a smile to his face on an otherwise frustrating day!

Padraig plays this week on the PGA Seniors Tour at the Dominion Energy Charity Classic. It is being played in Richmond, Virginia and Padraig finished in a tie for third last year!

Tee times: Padraig tees off at 5.52pm GMT in the final round with Mike Weir and Jeff Maggert.
