Padraig completes his Dunhill Cup with a level par round of 72 around the Old Course at St Andrews. Two days of torrential rain meant the event was forced to finish on a Monday with just three rounds played. Padraig finished at three uner par for the tournament while Matt Fitzpatrick won with a nineteeen under par total. In the team event, he was also out of the frame finishing at eight under par.

Padraig shoots a four under par round of 68 around Kingsbarns to be just outside the top 50 going into Saturdays third round at St Andrews. He was a model of consistency with just one dropped shot on the day at the par four 14th and picked up three of his shots at the par fives. In the team event, he lies at eight under par but is too far off the pace to make the cut for Sunday. He tees off at 10.39am with Matt Fitzpatrick who presently leads the tournament at thirteen under par!

Padraig opens his account in Scotland with a one over par round of 73 at Carnoustie. He got off to a solid start and was one under par after 12 holes, having been a model of consistency with eleven pars and one birdie on “Hogans Alley”, the par five 6th hole. He dropped a shot on the next hole, the par three 13th hole but picked it up straight away with a birdie on the reachable par five 14th hole. Three pars followed before a disasterous finish with a double bogey six on the last! He is off to play Kingsbarns on Friday looking for a low score to get back into contention! In the team event, he fared no better with a one under par total leaving them towards the end of the field.

Padraig plays this week at one of his favourite events, the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship. It is being played, as usual, on three of Scotlands finest courses, Carnoustie, Kingsbarns and the Old Course at St. Andrews. Padraig is a past winner of the event, back in 2006 and 2002! Ryan Fox, the recent winner of the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth is your defending champion.

Tee Times – Padraig plays in the opening round with Bob MacIntyre  at 9.44am at Carnoustie Links.
