Second round of one over par 73 sees Padraig miss the cut at the BMW PGA Championship. He was out in one over par and made his first birdie of the tournament at the par five 12th. He dropped two more shots coming in, but did birdie the par four 16th hole where he hit his second shot close. He finished in darkness but some of the field were not so lucky and have to come back out Saturday morning to complete their rounds.
Poor day for Padraig around Wentworth where nothing seemed to go right and will need one of the best of the day rounds on Friday to qualify. It is hard to believe that he failed to make a single birdie on a day where he had four bogies and a double bogey on the par four 16th hole, where he found the trees on the left off the tee and had to reload. Hopefully a better day on Friday!
Padraig plays this week at the prestigious BMW PGA Championship in Wentworth. It is the 4th Rolex series event of season so far which will culminate at the DP World Tour Championship in November!
