Padraig shows his class after a poor start, where he found himself two over par after four holes, to record a five under par round of 65. This left him inside the top twenty and a nice platform to improve with the Irish Open next week. The highlight of the day for Padraig was an eagle three on the par five 14th hole, where he hit his second shot to five feet and converted. Back home now and hopefully a commanding performance at the K Club!
Padraig shoots a third round of two under par 68 that leaves him at seven under par and just inside the top thirty heading into Sundays final round. He recorded five birdies on the day but too many mistakes ruined his chance of a low score. His accuracy off the tee cost him as he made a couple of bogies and a double bogey on the front nine. All to play for on Sunday! Fifteen under par leads!
Padraig continues his good form around Crans sur Sierre with a two under par round of 68. His five under par total leaves him just outside the top thirty and seven behind the half way leader. He recorded three birdies and had just the one dropped shot on the par four 4th hole where he found a fairway bunker off the tee. His putting was on point with just 28 putts for the day so will be hoping for more of the same over the weekend. He tees off at 9.50am local time in the third round with Miguel Angel Jimenez.
Padraig opens his account in Switzerland with a fine round of three under par 67 on his 52nd birthday! Four birdies in all were recorded on the day, with just one dropped shot at the par four 2nd hole, where he found trees off the tee. He sits just four shots behind the leaders and will tee off at 1.20pm local time on Friday!
Padraig plays this week at the Omega European Masters in Crans sur Sierre Golf Club in Crans Montana, Switzerland.
Tee Times – Padraig tees off with Alexander Bjork and Danny Willett at 8.20am in the opening round.
