Padraig, yet again, produced a blistering final round to come up just short and finish in a tie for 2nd at the Chubb Classic. Trailing the leaders by three shots going out in the final round, he went out in 29 shots, and made eight 3’s in his first ten holes to briefly lead the field! His only blemish came at the par four 14th hole which he made a mess of but fought back bravely to birdie the next hole and finished with aplomb as he eagled the par five 18th hole. Bernhard Langer went on to win the tournament, which ties the PGA Tour Champions all time winning record! 

Padraig keeps his hopes alive for a win at the Chubb Classic. Level par after ten holes and flatlining, he scrapped out a great finish with a birdie on the par four 14th followed by an eagle three on the par five 18th. This has him in tied 8th place and trailing the leader by three shots going into Sundays final round.

Padraig opens his account at the Chubb Classic with a very pleasing round of five under par 67. He was level par after the first six holes but burst into life with an eagle three on the par five 7th hole. He played the four par fives in five under par which underlines his power off the tee. He trails the leader by three shots going into the weekend and is currently lying in tied 10th place. He tees off late Saturday at 5.23pm GMT with Fred Couples and Steve Stricker!

Padraig starts his 2023 Champions Tour season at this weeks Chubb Classic. It is being played at Tiburon Golf Club in Florida which is a par 72 measuring just under 7.000 yards. Your defending champion is Bernhard Langer. 

Tee Times –  Padraig plays in the opening round at 2.49pm local time with Darren Clarke and Retief Goosen.
