final round of three under par sees Padraig finish at nine under par and in 5th place overall. He got off to a nice start with three birdies in his first six holes but was flatlining all the way in after that with twelve pars to finish. Steve Stricker won the event with a fifteen under par total. This keeps Padraig well in the hunt for the Charles Schwab Cup as he edges ever closer to the leader Steve Alker.

Second round of three under par 69 leaves Padraig in a tie for 6th place at six under par and five behind the runaway leader, Steve Stricker. He only trails the second place man by two shots so all to play for Sunday! It was a topsy turvey round with seven birdies in all but four costly bogies. He got off to a flyer with four birdies in five holes from the 3rd hole. But a dropped shot on on the par three 4th hole where he missed the green and 8th hole had him out in two under par. He again dipped under par at the 12th and 13th holes only to follow that with consecutive bogies. Again, he had a penalty shot for the second day running on the par five 15th hole. He did however finish in some style as he recorded one of the few birdies on the day at the tough par four 18th hole. He plays Sunday at 11.55am local time with Ken Duke and Steve Flesch.

Padraig opens his account at the Constellation Furyk & Friends with a three under par round 69 to trail the leaders by two shots going into the weekend. His card showed six birdies, three of them on par 5’s but he also recorded three bogies, one on the last par five where he incurred a penalty. Overall he played very well and will be full of confidence going into Saturdays second round.

Padraig plays this week at the Constellation Furyk & Friends on the PGA Seniors Tour as he chases the Charles Schwab Cup awarded to the season long money winner.
