Padraig shoots a second round of three over par 75 to miss a very low cut at five under par. He got off to a poor start with two early bogies but was out in level par after picking up two shots on the third hole and ninth holes where he hit it close both times. He putted poorly on the back nine and came home in three over par on a day where he lost nearly four shots to the field in strokes gained putting.

Padraig opens his account at the AT&T Byron Nelson with a fine round of 6 under par 66. On a blemish free card he recorded four birdies and an eagle three on the par five 18th hole. Starting on the back nine, he was two under after eight holes after two birdies, both from four feet. He then holed a monster putt for eagle from nearly 50 feet on the 18th to be out in four under par. Three pars followed before a 25 foot putt got him to five under and he followed that with a tap in on the par five fifth hole to sign for a 66. He tees off Friday late at 1.28pm.

Padraig plays this week at the AT&T Byron Nelson. It was last held in 2019 due to Covid restrictions and the defending champion is Sung Kang with a whopping 23 under par total. Padrig finished tied 12th that year but we have a change of venue to TPC Craig Ranch.

Tee Times – Thursday 8.18am and Friday 1.28pm with JJ Spuan and Luke List.
