A second round of 78 sees Padraig miss the cut at the Honda Classic. He got off to the perfect start with a birdie on his opening hole where he holed from eight feet. But four dropped shots followed in six holes to have him out in three over par. He picked up one shot on the par four 11th hole where he holed from 20 feet but gave it straight back at the tough par four 12th hole. He hit his approach shot to the par four 14th to a couple of feet to make birdie but a disaster finish on the next two holes put paid to him making the cut as he found water on both holes.
Padraig opens his account at the Honda Classic with a two over par round of 72. Starting on the back nine, he got off to a mixed start with three birdies being cancelled out by three bogies to turn in level par. He picked up a shot at the par five third hole which he reached in two shots but doubled bogied the par three 5th hole where he found water. He dropped a final shot at par four 9th to leave himself with work to do on Friday.
