Hi Padriag, We just wanted to congratulate you on another fantastic round of golf at Firestone, during the Bridgestone invitational yesterday. You played some amazing golf and we are all very proud of you. We hope the good Kerry area is still in your system from last week and that it will help you in the weeks ahead to win lots more competitions in the USA. Warmest regards, all your supporters, fans and friends at the Aghadoe Heights Hotel & Spa Killarney.

Hi Padraig, well done yesterday and I know you are going to go on a late run of form just like last year. I think you will win the PGA this coming week. We watched you play on internet while on holidays here in Spain, and our Spanish friends immediately recognise you, even more than some of their own golfers. I was delighted to tell them all about you and how I have got a few balls and signatures from you. They were so jealous! Best of luck, your no. 1 fan, Conor 8

Just wanted to say Padraig is a great role model for kids around the world. He is such a class act, the way he acts even if he is not having one of his better days. I my self have learned a great deal from watching his actions on the course. Thank you Padraig and good luck in the future.

Padraig, Belated congratulations for your heroics in Killarney - just a pity you could not reproduce form this week - but its such a horrendously difficult course. Anyway I guess you are honing up well for last week and hopefully you can cement place on Ryder Cup so that you can stay on in USA - play in FEDEX - and fulfill your very personal wish with Special Olympics. All the very best. Briain.

Dear Padraig, Thank you so much for giving me a ball today at the 9th green at Firestone Country Club. I am a six year old boy and today was my first experience at a professional golf event. Your gift helped make today more memorable and I will not soon forget it, nor my parents!! I wish you the best of luck tomorrow in Akron and next week at the PGA. Please know that you made an impact today, when I got home I played 18 holes in my backyard with my 4 year old brother, not with my new ball from you though, that will be saved in a safe place! Maybe I can be almost as good as you some day! Thanks again for your generosity! Eddie Musbach.....and Eddie's Mom and Dad.

Congratulations on a special Irish Open at Killarney. As I always do, I put the entire round (the telecast version, anyway) on tape, and also as always, I was not disappointed with your effort. Your last round was the textbook on gutting it out, and there were so many moments there where you could have slacked a little...but you didn't. You displayed the essence of the champion you are. It was a pleasure to watch you play. I've played Killarney Golf & Fishing Club many, many times over the years, and it has become my favorite course...even though I've played Ballybunion! Most recently, in 2007, my wife and I celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary in Ireland (our 11th visit), and, in the company of my son and his wife who had never had the privilege of visiting Ireland, we played Killarney Killeen as the first of several courses we played. I struggled with you on 8, and again on 17, and particularly on 18 (and unlike you, on 10!) It's a special place to play our favorite game...and I look forward to playing there again, God willing - as I do Beaufort, Strandhill, Rosses Point, East Clare, Dooks, Howth and others. We know youi're disappointed at falling a little short in the Irish Open...but we'll be your biggest US fans for the upcoming PGA, and we look forward to seeing you win again. I'd very much like to play a round with you sometime...I'm 73, but play to about a 7-9; my son is a good bit better. I couldn't imagine a more enjoyable round of golf. Keep up your excellence...and God bless you and your family. Best regards, Bob Whitaker, Esq. Lt Col, USA, Retired

HI Padraig, Just wanted to say its great to see you treat the fans so well at Killarney. I saw you for the first time playing live at Killarney and you signed a birthday card for my mum who lives to see you win and play. I will give this card to her on her birthday and it will light up her life. Many thanks for taking the time to sign it, I waited about two hours for it and it was worth it. It is a great shame that other Irish players won't give a bit of time to the fans and sign autographs. I saw many disappointed kids at the practice range who got ignored or knocked back by other Irish players. Keep practicing your doing the right thing listen to yourself and ignore the media what do they know. Thanks again Padraig I can't wait to see the look on my old mums face when she gets the card. Good luck

Hi padraig, you were good enough to stand with my daughter for a photograph as she held an umbrella on the Wednesday of the Irish Open. We are very proud of you as a sportsman, and an Irishman. Good luck at the Bridgestone and the USPGA. Thanks again from Jane and Bartley.

Well Padraig, absolute stunning last round in Killarney. I tought you were going to pip Fisher to the title. I would have like to see you and Fisher play the last round together as I would think you would have got the better of him if this was the case. have you any tips step by step guide on how to hit a good shot on the fairway and maybe chipping on the greens. Your chipping on the greens is sublime. Hope you do well in Major next week, top 10 on the cards.

I went to the Irish open pro am and the thurs /fri of the tournament. I was amazed to see the generosity of all the players towards the crowd. Giving autographs and photos ops to people who wanted. Padraig, I would just like to say thank you for all your hard work trying to please everyone. It can't be easy signing all the autographs and doing the photo ops. Oh, as well as doing media interviews. Speaking of the media, you weren't the only person to appear slightly irritated at some of the questions. Most of the fans didn't really like their questions either. I love to watch you play this great game. I don't care if you hit fairways. In fact if truth be told it's much more exciting watching the genius of your recovery and short game skills. You were pipped at the post this time, I've no doubt at all it will be yours next year. Good Luck.

Once again you did us all proud as well as your family. What a fantastic competitor you are. I no longer play golf. I seemed to gradually give it up when I started teaching in St Gerard's many moons ago. Family etc! I have followed your career with great enjoyment. On your day you are the best in the world - no doubt. May I wish all the best for the next two weeks in the USA. For what it's worth - please forgive you seem to push a fraction too much forward on the drives you pulled left in Killarney. Also many thanks for being the person you are. My God it is great to have another Irishman as a role model for future generations. Good luck to you and your family. Kindest personal regards, John Carlos
