Life is a lot easier when you play badly and then all of a sudden you get in contention and win one. No one gets on your back. When you finish runner-up seven times, everyone is asking, 'Why aren't you winning?' It's much more fun when you jump into a win out of the blue. It's a much tougher game when you play consistently well.

Wells Fargo Championship.
Padraig missed the cut at Quail Hollow after a second round of 77 which included eight bogies! He has been fighting a losing battle against flu symptoms and never got going in either of his opening rounds. He stays on in the States for next weeks Players championship at TPC Sawgrass!

Padraig is fighting flu like conditions as he struggled at the Wells Fargo Championship with an opening round of two over par, 74. He got off to a poor start with three early bogies but birdied the par four 8th hole with a tap in to turn in 38 shots. Another dropped shot at the 14th had him in trouble but an eagle at the par five 15th hole where he chipped it saw him somewhat rescue a poor day. He tees off Friday at 12.50pm local time.

Padraig is back on the USPGA tour for one of the most scenic spots on tour, the Quail Hollow golf course which is a mixture of tree lined fairways and plenty of water to catch the attention of the players. It doesn't play overly long but accurate play is required to score as the greens can be quite tricky to read. Fellow Irishman, Rory McIlroy is the defending champion this week and it is a course he likes having shot 61 around here last year! Padraig had some good results here as well with two top tens a number of years ago so will be excited to return. He tees off at 7.30am local time with Vaughn Taylor and Paul Casey.
