Padraig in action at the beginning of 2014 on the PGA Tour.

Life is a lot easier when you play badly and then all of a sudden you get in contention and win one. No one gets on your back. When you finish runner-up seven times, everyone is asking, 'Why aren't you winning?' It's much more fun when you jump into a win out of the blue. It's a much tougher game when you play consistently well.

I am pleased to say that yesterday's story regarding skin cancer, is an old one that has resurfaced.

Three or four years ago I had three skin cancers removed from my face but they were found to be non melanoma and therefore benign. Yesterday I was speaking about my dad's passing from oesophageal cancer on a radio show, during which I was asked about my own precautionary health measures. I mentioned I had the skin cancers removed as well as biannual medicals. The reference to my experience with cancer was taken out of context as it related to a few years ago, so I'm glad to say there is nothing at all to worry about as far as I know.
