Earlier today, I conducted a Golf Roots Junior Clinic, which is a Golf Foundation programme introducing youngsters to the game, with funding provided by the R&A. It took place at Sunningdale Golf Club, Berkshire, England, with about 30 young boys and girls from two schools in the Bracknell Forest School Sport Partnership in attendance. I went through different aspects of the long game (although I wasn’t able to hit any shots because of my knee injury) and also the short game.
As an Ambassador for the R&A's Working for Golf programme, it was great to be able to pass on some tips to the young golfers, who I hope enjoyed the session as much as I did. I hope they learned a few things and go on to play the game for many years to come.
